Industrial DevSecOps in the Department of Defense and Federal Government

The shift in the US government to increase the product delivery to meet the speed of relevance has required industry to move to Agile and DevOps to deliver products and services. The Majority of the systems Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman build require us to scale Agile up as well as to integrate Hardware, Software, Firmware for highly regulated environments. This talk will discuss the transition of multiple legacy programs. We plan to provide examples and a blueprints to implement what we have coined as Industrial DevSecOps within similar environments. We will deep dive into the details of how to manage long lead items, contracts, supply chain, multiple vendors, dependencies, and risk for systems that are safety critical and support the security of the country.

Learning Objectives:

  • The participant will understand how to Scale Agile for Systems that contain hardware, firmware, and software.
  • The participant will understand how to use Agile at Scale to manage funding, supply chain, long lead items, and dependencies for program.
  • The participant will obtain blueprints and examples to enable them to successfully transition a large program at scale.
