Why did the Global SAFe Summit change from an in-person event to a virtual event?
The COVID-19 outbreak has impacted individuals, families, and communities across the globe, and the health of Summit attendees is our primary concern. Given recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Scaled Agile decided to host the Summit virtually instead of in person.
We’re passionate about bringing together our community to connect, share, and learn, and our community members have repeatedly told us how much they gain from the Summit. So while this year’s Global SAFe Summit will look and feel different, we’ve worked hard to design a virtual, interactive experience that you’ll find valuable.
If I am already registered for the Global SAFe Summit, do I need to re-register for the virtual Summit?
No: you don’t need to re-register for the virtual Summit. If you were already registered, your registration for the original Summit can be transferred over. Price adjustments will be taken into consideration and we will credit or refund you any differences. Contact the Summit Meetings Team if you have more questions.
If the Summit is virtual, what makes it a Global Summit?
The Summit still focuses on keynotes, technical sessions, customer stories, exhibits, and more, and we expect the majority of attendees to be from all around the world. The virtual Summit takes place in the Central timezone.
How can I participate in the Global SAFe Summit - Virtual Experience?
Registration is open for the Global SAFe Summit. Attendees who were already registered do not need to re-register.

How much does it cost to register for the Summit?
In moving the Summit from an in-person to a virtual event we have lowered the price. Please see our pricing page for details.
Will a team discount be available?
Group discounts are available for groups of 5 or more. If you are interested in registering a group, please email us for the discount code.
What if I am having difficulty registering or need to make changes to my Summit registration?
If you would like to make changes to your registration or need help registering, please contact the SAFe Summit Registration Team.
Will Scaled Agile refund my registration fee if I am already registered and need to cancel?
If you were already registered and do not wish to participate in the virtual SAFe Summit experience, Scaled Agile will refund your original registration fee.
What is your cancellation policy?
You many cancel your registration at any time, but please be aware of the event cancellation policy below:
- If you cancel your registration for any reason on or before Monday, August 31, 2020, you will be refunded your full registration fee. Please email the Summit Registration Team with your request to cancel.
- If you cancel your registration on or after Tuesday, September 1, 2020 through Thursday, October 15, 2020, you will be refunded your registration fee less a $50 administration processing fee.
- If you cancel on or after Friday,October 16, 2020 you will not be eligible for a refund, but may transfer your registration to another party until Friday, October 23, 2020. After this date, no refunds or transfers will be available.
It looks like you are no longer having workshops. Will I get a refund if I had registered for one?
Yes, we will be refunding attendees who registered for workshops that are no longer taking place.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
You may transfer your registration to another person at any time before Wednesday, October 21, 2020. If you have registered with a special discount and would like to send someone in your place, your substitution must also present verification to qualify for the discount and may be subject to a pricing adjustment.

What is the format of the virtual Global SAFe Summit?
The 2020 Global SAFe Summit – Virtual Experience features two full days of inspiration, learning, and collaboration opportunities delivered in live, simulive, and pre-recorded formats. Plus, you’ll receive access to all the content for two+ weeks after the event.
The 2020 Global SAFe Summit will be hosted via VXP, an easy-to-use fully interactive platform that simulates virtual event experiences and allows you to enjoy the SAFe Summit from the comfort of your living room while you engage with content, speakers, and fellow attendees.
Is there a code of conduct?
Yes, the SAFe summit has a code of conduct. Summit participants—whether attendees, speakers, staff, exhibitors, or sponsors—shall conduct themselves at all times with professionalism and civility, and demonstrate respect and courtesy to all. Scaled Agile reserves the right to rescind registration or attendance at the Summit in its discretion for violations of this policy.
What should I do about my hotel reservation?
If you booked your hotel on your own, it is your responsibility to cancel it.
Will Scaled Agile refund my airfare?
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation of the in-person Global SAFe Summit in Denver, CO may have caused. However, as always, all attendees are solely responsible for their travel arrangements to and from the event. Scaled Agile cannot refund the costs of airline fees.
We encourage you to reach out to your airline directly to request a refund, credit, or waiver for your flight. Please reference this article around exceptions airlines are currently providing.
Will the 2020 Global SAFe Summit in-person event be rescheduled to a later date?
Due to the current state of affairs, Scaled Agile will not be rescheduling an in-person 2020 Global SAFe Summit. We hope to be back on-track to be in-person for 2021.
Can I earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) by attending the SAFe Summit?
As SAFe Summit attendees get the flexibility to attend those sessions that they find most valuable, attendees will need to self-report their PDUs for the event. To do so, please visit the PMI CCRS at https://ccrs.pmi.org/claim and enter PDUs for an event/conference.
Will I have access to any content that was going to be shared during the 2020 Global SAFe Summit?
Can I view online sessions if I am not registered for the virtual Summit?

I submitted to speak at the 2020 Global SAFe Summit. What do I do now?
Since Scaled Agile made the decision to cancel the in-person event this year and host a virtual instead, we notified all confirmed speakers detailing our next steps. We ask for your patience while we work on updating our agenda. If you have any questions, please reach out to our speaker manager.
What software or hardware is needed to participate in the virtual Global SAFe Summit?
For the majority of the Summit there will be no special requirements to access the content. However, we recommend that you update your web browsers to the latest version.
The SAFe Expert Coaching Station will use Zoom meetings, so you may want to download the Zoom app and test your browser, audio, and microphone settings. Over the coming months, our team will provide updates and information to set you up for a great experience.
