DevSecOps and Technical Agility

Agile teams and teams of Agile teams create and support high-quality business solutions that deliver value to the enterprise’s customers. The Team and Technical Agility track will explore the critical skills and Lean-Agile principles and practices that high-performing technology and business teams apply to successfully achieve this goal. At the same time, solution builders must incorporate security considerations into the development process and in the systems they’re developing. Some ways to do this include incorporating DevSecOps specialists into the Agile Release Train (ART); adding a dedicated DevSecOps team to the ART, cross-training other practitioners in DevSecOps best practices; and embedding DevSecOps experts into each Agile team.

Suggested topics in this track include:

  • Strategies for successfully designing and organizing Agile Release Trains around value to deliver both software and hardware solutions
  • Bringing Agile business teams ‘on the train’, and specializing the Lean Agile principles for their particular context
  • Ensuring code quality with practices that include TDD, BDD, collective ownership, coding standards and pair work
  • Applying SOLID design principles and design patterns alongside Agile architecture to support evolving business needs
  • Forming and operating a system team to assist in building and using environment infrastructure and supporting solution integration
